"Beautiful indeed and of great importance is the vocation of all those who aid parents in fulfilling their duties and who, as representatives of the human community, undertake the task of education in schools. This vocation demands special qualities of mind and heart, very careful preparation, and continuing readiness to renew and to adapt." (Blessed John Paul II, Gravissimum Educationis).
As our Lord approached Gethsemane, His heart's cry was that His followers be one in truth. It was for this that He sanctified Himself and went to the Cross. The world seeks unity and peace while denying the Truth Who is the only Way to Truth and Life.
Truth is the goal of all authentic academic endeavor; the truths concerning secondary causes, sought in the humanities and in the natural sciences, are necessary but not sufficient for Catholic education. Catholic education must order and transcend the secondary causes, guiding the young along the sometimes puzzling path to the Ultimate Cause, Whom the student comes to know as the loving Father because he has interacted with parents and teachers who know and love the student and who know, love, and live the Faith.
It is our mission to be "beautiful indeed" by assisting parents in their holy duty to form their children into the image of Christ.
